Let’s Take a Test!

How orthodox are you?

Do You Believe…

Holy Scripture is the revealed word of God?
Jesus Christ died on the cross and was resurrected offering eternal salvation to all humanity?
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior?
in the Holy Trinity?
in the Holy Spirit as a sanctifier and transformer?
in the covenantal nature of the Holy Eucharist?
in the Nicene and Apostle’s creeds?
we come to the Father through the Son?

If you answered yes to all or most of these, well then, consider yourself eligible to join the new group out of Fort Worth with members ranging from far and wide – from all over the US all the way to Africa and on to Ireland! It’s called Remain Faithful and they claim to be orthodox Episcopalians.

Just to show you how absolutely reformed that they are, please note the picture on the Board of Directors tab – how very progressive of them to have Da Vinci’s Last Supper!

I think we need to let them all know that reconciliation is possible after all! Check them out at https://www.remainfaithful.org/Home_Page.php.

I read that site. Looks to me like it is Remain Faithful to Iker, Duncan, etc. Remain Faithful to schism?

OMgosh! Lindy...semi-orthodox! :-) The heavens are rocking!

Yes, pseudopiskie, it is a site dedicated to Remaining Faithful to Iker...did I tell y'all that one priest said that in the Diocese of FW, Iker is a god? So, I think that you nailed it on the head -- Faithful to schism...

Thanks for pointing out the DaVinci of The Last Supper - the painting which includes Mary Magdalene at Christ's side.

Hmmm...let's see:
1. I believe many things are revealed through Scripture - some relevant and some irrelevant to our current existence.
2. Yes, I believe Christ died & rose again and came to save EVERYONE - even those who deny him (cuz that's how awesome he is)
3. I do believe that Christ is my Lord and Savior. He is the Lord of my world.
4. Trinity. Here's a fun one. A concept not totally mentioned in the Bible, a theology developed by the early Church and yet proclaimed widely. Some denominations dismiss this idea all together. I believe in the Creating aspect of God, the Redeeming aspect of God and the Sanctifying aspect of God.
5. Holy Spirit. Yes, I do believe that She exists and transforms and sanctifies and blesses and gives me that spiritual kick when I need it.
6. Eucharist. I believe that it is the memory I keep of how my Lord suffered and the significance of the sacrifice that causes me to return to the Table time and time again.
7. I believe the Creeds have their worth. I am not tied to them. I am not bound to them. I think there are many creeds and affirmations that have truth and worth. I believe we reinvent creeds often and create creeds for our own spritual needs. I do not believe that disregarding the Nicene Creed or Apostles Creed will place you in jeopardy; afterall, the Creeds are manmade.
8. I believe that we come to God in many ways. I believe many can come to God of various faiths. God honors us regardless of how we come unto God.

Well, however you want to score me...not sure how well I did. Not sure if I did well enough to join "Remain Faithful."
